To Art--my husband, my soulmate, my friend--
You were the strongest, most intelligent man that I have ever met. You picked me up when I was down and showed me how to go on. Your heart so overflowed with love, you took my children as your own, and never looked back; never questioned. We were a family that stood together and loved fiercely, openly, all of us secure in that love. Now, our children and I are left and will try, in your honor, to live up to your example.
Your eyes were always to the heavens. You always wanted to fly like the birds you loved. Now you are “free to fly” and I will look to the heavens in hopes of a glimpse of you.
I loved you will all of me, and will miss you with each breath that I take.
