Obituary of Carol L. Peterson Giovanni

Pomfret Center- Carol L. Peterson Giovanni, 54, of Groton passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 after a very valiant fight with cancer. She was born October 2, 1955 in Southbridge, MA, beloved youngest daughter of Margaret (Blackmer) Peterson and the late Wilbur Peterson who died May 6, 2003. Carol loved her time spent vacationing at Cape Cod and Block Island. She loved being at the beach, enjoyed fine dining and had a passion for gourmet cooking. Carol loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved music and reading and will always be remembered by friends and family for her quick wit, terrific sense of humor and her smile. She leaves her loving mother Margaret Peterson of Waldoboro, ME, sisters Barbara Riley and her husband Andrew of Pomfret, Beverly Sawyer and her husband Keith of Waldoboro, ME, nieces Rose Marie Vecchiarelli Porter and her husband Justin of East Aurora, NY, Phoebe E. Riley of Boston, MA, Nephews C. Alexander Riley of West Hartford and Phillip A. Riley of Pomfret, grandnieces Morgan Dodds-Porter and Emma Porter of East Aurora, NY, several aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 12 Bradford Corner Road,West Woodstock,CT.
