Obituary of Violet L. Brousseau

Violet L. Brousseau January 16, 1916 - August 24, 2010 Putnam - Violet L. Brousseau, 94, of Walnut Road, Putnam, died August 24, 2010. She was the beloved wife of Raymond A. Brousseau; they were married August 29, 1937 in Peterboro, NH. He died January 24, 1998. She was born January 16, 1916 in Canton, MA, daughter of the late Irving W. and Ethel G. (Allen) Lyon. She attended Bryant College in Providence and was a 1933 graduate of the Killingly High School in Danielson. They owned and operated Church Clothing Company in Putnam for over 58 years. Violet was a long time member of the Putnam Congregational Church, she enjoyed playing Bridge, reading, gardening and traveling with her husband. She leaves several cousins. Burial was private in Grove Street Cemetery in Putnam. Donations may be made in her memory to the Putnam Congregational Church, PO Box 463, Putnam, CT 06260 or Charity of one's choice. The Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT was in charge of the arrangements.
