Barbara and family,
Greg was not only a wonderful vet but a good friend. I had the good fortune of knowing Greg for as many years as he had an office in Woodstock. I will never forget the Sunday he came to my small farm to help with a sick animal. Greg always had a smile and just the right words.
I will miss him.

Dr. H was my second dad as his daughter Megan and I divided our high school days between the Hackett residence and my own house. I remember one day when he let me shadow him at work when I was considering becoming a vet...and he only laughed a little bit when in the middle of a procedure I came to the sudden realization that I didn't have the stomach for it!
I have many fond memories of Dr. H, and while my life has taken me far from my old Woodstock home, I know that place will never be the same without him--and neither will any of us who knew him.
I wish I could be there with you all to celebrate his life, but please accept my love and my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of a great man.

Dr. Hackett was such a great vet and a truly kind man. He saw our family through several tough euthanasias over the 25 years he was our family vet, and in each one he took the time to make sure our beloved pets left this world in peace while offering his own consolation to each of us. We send our prayers and hopes for consolation to his surviving family. He will be dearly missed.WEHM

When we first moved to Woodstock, Greg treated our Golden Retreiver, Ginger, whom we loved dearly. I will never forget his compassion and support when we had to say goodbye to Ginger. We were moved and grateful when he offered to come to our home to spare our pain as well as Ginger's.
Beyond that I have many happy memories of social gatherings and school functions where I always enjoyed his outgoing personality and great sense of humor.
