Obituary of William H. Cote

William H. Cote, Jr. 62, of Battey St. Putnam, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. He was born September 23, 1948 in Worcester, MA, son of the late William and Viola (Depinto) Cote. Loving husband to Jeannette (Mattson) Cote. They were married April 7, 2001. William and Jeannette started their lives together in the summer of 1977. He was a very caring, loving, protective, husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. Throughout his entire life he was a very selfless man, making sacrifices for the sake of others. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps. He will always be remembered as a hard worker throughout his life, a very loyal husband, a good teacher and always as a good friend. William is survived by his wife Jeannette and their children; Kelly Dawn Ranoy and her husband Ricky of Wallace, NC, Shawna Husby and her husband of Annapolis, MD, Daniel Mattson of Hampton, Anthony Mattson of Quinebaug, a sister, Joyce Gulley of Worcester, MA, grandchildren; Tristian, Mackenzie, Brenden, Olivia, Delana, several cousins and a nephew. Calling Hours will be Friday, October 1, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT.
