Obituary of Diane O. Boivin
Diane O. Boivin, 79, of Brooklyn, CT, died in the comfort of her family Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, MA. She was the wife of William L. Radel. They were married April 18, 1953, he died in 1964. In 1966 she married Edward Stover. On September 24, 1983 she married Charles Boivin in St. John Church in Brooklyn, he died in 2005. Diane was born August 31, 1931 in Nashua NH, daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha (Guerette) Ouellette. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, a member of the NRA. Diane attended local schools in New Hampshire. At the age of 14 she moved with her family to Pennsylvania. Upon completion of her education, she worked for Bell Telephone, until her marriage then she devoted herself to the care and raising of her family. She enjoyed quilting, golf and spending time with family and was a member of the Plainfield Quilters. She leaves her four sons William D. Radel and his wife Kathleen of Brooklyn, James D. Radel and wife Sandy of Canterbury, Edward Stover, II of N. Grosvenordale; Harry Stover, II and his companion Carla Demers of Brooklyn; two daughters: Debra J. Divine of Danielson; Carol R. Palonen and her husband Phillip of Canterbury; a brother: Donald R. Ouellette of Ossipee, NH; a step-son: Charles A. Boivin and his wife Melissa of Dudley, MA, ten grandchildren: Nicole Palonen, Jonelle Radel; Taylor Radel; Eric Palonen; Donald Radel; Derek Radel; Jarrad Pechie, Justin Pechie, Jamie Pechie, Gabrielle Boivin; a great granddaughter: Ashlyn Childs. She was predeceased by a brother Ernest Ouellette and a sister Yvette Haas. There will be a memorial service Friday October 15, 2010 at 6:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church, 445 Providence Road, Brooklyn, CT. Calling Hours Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. Burial at a later date in Valley Forge Gardens, PA.
