Obituary of Lorraine B. Parent

Lorraine B. Parent, 84, of Wauregan Road Danielson, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was the beloved wife of Arthur H. Parent they were married April 14, 1951 in St. James Church in Danielson. Lorraine served as secretary and treasurer for Arthur Parent Contractors, Inc. for many years. She was born June 7, 1928 in Danielson, daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Perreault) Simoneau. Lorraine was a lifelong communicant of St. James Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lorraine loved to decorate her home in the theme of the season and took great pride in it. She leaves her Husband of 62 years, Arthur H. Parent, her son Glenn Parent and his wife Lisa of Brooklyn, CT, her granddaughters Nicole Parent of Ruskin FL, Ashley Dupointe of Hingham, MA, and Lindsey Parent of Brooklyn, CT, her great granddaughter Emma Oakes of FL, her nieces Sandra Pilcher of Tierra Verde, FL, Linda Leavens of Niantic, CT, Mary Anne Linkowski of Knoxville, TN, and Karen Cushmon of Globe, AZ, her nephews Marc Pilcher of Bradenton, FL, Chris Pilcher of Forest Hill, MD, Joseph Parent of Phoenix, AZ, Brian Parent of Show Low, AZ. Timothy Parent of , Phoenix, AZ, her brother-in-law Paul Parent and his wife Julie of Mesa, AZ. Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:15 AM from Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 NOON in St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Calling Hours will be Friday, May 10, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery on Parent's Way.
