I am so sorry for the passing of your father.
He was a wonderful person. I worked for him for 17 years at Branch River and he was a great person to work for.

We were truly saddened by George's passing. He was a great neighbor and friend, who always spoke with such joy and pride about his children and grandchildren. Joe especially enjoyed sitting out on the back deck with George discussing Thompson politics! He will be truly missed.

Dear Mr Elmes...never could call him George...even though I am old to call him by his first name now. I remember the ski trips when you all lived in Grafton. Me with my gigantic ill fitting stuff---equipment from local yard sales-- and his incredible patience with me. Also Even though I have been Donna Chapin for a million years now...He loved calling me Donna Winky every time I saw him...He would always let out a big guffaw at that one.He will be missed by me!

It was with great sadness that i heard that George had died. I am so proud to have been one of George's girls. He was a great sport taking us biking, to Krupala or snow shoeing. He always spoke so lovingly of you all. My husband and I will miss our Saturday morning meetings with George and Stop n Shop. A great man, and friend. Barbara and Alan

We are heartbroken for all of you and especially Kelly, our Sister-in Law with whom we know what a dear, dear dad, friend, confidant and mentor he was to you. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your siblings and families during this sad time. George was quite the man. I will never forget him holding a bouquet of pansy's (no doubt taken from a planter at Gillette Stadium!,) as a congratulatory gift for you Kelly at the finish line of one of your races. The pride in his face was so sweet.
May you find comfort knowing that the heart remembers best what it has loved the most.
Love,
Melissa and family

George was ALWAYS there when you needed him -- that's what we'll remember most! But we also can't forget the magic mystery tour of Worcester that he took us on over Dead Horse Hill, or the day he kidnapped us for an extremely circuitous adventure trip to Mass MOCA. So many great memories of our wonderful friend. We will never forget you, George!

Hey Kids, We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. He is now with Gwynne. I will never forget him, his disputes with Thompson government, and many other issues. When my mom was sick he always would stop by the house and ask how she was. Don and I kept up on the news of you children. His heart was on his arm and always , always George had time to talk. We really missed him when we moved to Virginia. God bless him and his. He will be missed. Flo (Versocki) Fisher and hubby Don Fisher JR.

To the Entire Elmes Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I was his banker at RI Hospital Trust for many years when the company started in Cranston and then built their facility in Smithfield. George was bit older than I was and really put me through my paces to make sure I knew what I was doing. We did become friends however and I remember him once saying he had to remodel his home because of your mom's health issues.
George was a good man who earned his Heavenly reward with your mom for all eternity.
I'll remember George and all of you in my prayers.

Very fond memories of visiting Tracy and everytime I seen George he said, "Coffee, Tea or Weezie". My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
