Obituary of Leo G. Lussier

Leo G. Lussier, 87, of Ballouville died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. Born August 5, 1923 in Putnam, CT, son of the late Theodore and Dolores (Desautels) Lussier. He was married on November 25, 1944 to Rita Aubin she died in 2005. He was a loving and wonderful father. He was a communicant of St Anne's Church in Ballouville, CT. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. Leo liked to fish and watch the Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He was a member of the American Legion Post 21, Knights of Columbus, and Our Lady of Assumption Counsel 10454. Leo enjoyed trips to the casino, working outdoors and being in his garden. He was last employed at the former Ames in Dayville. He leaves his daughter Cheryl Dufault and her husband David of Ballouville, his grandchildren Danielle Lajeunesse and her husband Lance of Danielson, Sean Dufault of Ballouville, Chad Dufault and his wife Danielle of Sterling, his great grandchildren Madison and Gracie Dufault, brothers Marcel Lussier of Dayville, Edward Lussier of Central Village, sister Janet Penson of Canterbury, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Theodore Lussier, Roger Lussier, Lucille LeClair, Rachel Clang and a granddaughter Jill Dufault. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am, Monday, November 22, 2010 at St. Joseph Church, 350 Hartford Pike Dayville. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors.
