Obituary of Peter W. Booker Sr.

Peter W. Booker Sr, 67, of Paradise Drive, Brooklyn, CT, passed away at his home Friday, November 12, 2010. Son of the late George I. Booker and Alice E. Booker. He was born August 6, 1943 in Sanford, ME. Peter was a devoted member of the Indian Trail Council for the Boy Scouts, Troup 44 of Brooklyn CT. He was also dedicated to the Quinebaug District Committee, serving in several positions for over 25 years. Peter was a machine operator for Pratt & Whitney of East Hartford for over 30 years. He was a loving Son, Father, Brother and Grandfather. He is survived by his five children, Peter W. Booker II of Pomfret, Susan E. Wood and spouse Lawrence of Atlanta, George H. Booker and spouse Sarah of Danielson, parents of Michael H. Booker, Jasmine Bedard, and Alexis Bedard. Mary A. Booker of Brooklyn, Norman C. Booker of Norfolk, parent of Madison C. Booker. A brother George S. Booker of PA. Predeceased by his brother Richard J. Booker. A Memorial Service will be held at the Abington Congregational Church, Route 97 Abington, CT, on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Burial to immediately follow at the Abington Cemetery.
