Obituary of Raymond F Korner

Raymond F. Korner, 70, of West Yarmouth, MA, formerly of Crystal Pond, Eastford, CT and Manchester, CT, died November 20, 2010. Husband of Joanne (Lewis) Korner. Born September 21, 1940 in Manchester, son of the late A. Raymond and Francis (Hemler) Korner. Ray served in the Connecticut Air National Guard from 1962 to 1966. He retired in 1993 after 33 years from the United Technologies Research Center in East Hartford. Ray loved the beaches at Cape Cod, fishing and taking long rides near his home on the Cape and around Crystal Pond. He was very crafty with his hands and could fix just about anything, and enjoyed crafting birdhouses by the fire in his garage. He leaves in addition to his wife Joanne, two children: James F. Korner and wife Penny, Kathryn (Korner) DuBois and husband Glenn, three granddaughters, Myranda and Marisa Korner and Skylar DuBois. He was predeceased by his brother Doug Korner. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Eastford Congregational Church, 8 Church Road, Eastford, CT.
