Obituary of Peter Stahecki

Peter Stahecki, Jr., 87, of Upper Maple Street, Danielson, CT, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, November 23, 2010 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. He was the beloved husband of Arlene (Caron) Stahecki; she died June 24, 2009. He was born January 17, 1923 in Killingly, CT son of the late Peter and Anna Stahecki, Sr. Peter worked at Rogers Corporation for over 35 years in the shipping department and also worked in masonry. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Navy. He was a communicant of ST James Church in Danielson. Peter was an avid walker, enjoyed working in his garden and family trips to York Beach. He had a great love for his daughter, grandson and granddaughter. He leaves his daughter, Deborah Tourangeau and her husband Paul of Brooklyn; her two special grandchildren, Justin Tourangeau of Brooklyn, CT and Holly Stahecki of Quinebaug, CT, two sisters, Mildred Hebert of Dayville, CT and Sophie Holbrook of Palmer, MA. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Anita Shippee of Maple Court and brother-in-law, Wilfred Caron, Jr. and his wife Lucy of Danielson, several nieces and nephews, predeceased by a sister Mary Kaminski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT, burial following in Holy Cross Cemetery with Military Honors.
