Thompson - Thelma "Eileen" Savoie, 59, of Sunshine Terrace, N. Grosvenordale lost her courageous battle with cancer on December 12, 2010. She spent her last days at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on November 1, 1951 in Richmond, VA, daughter of the late James and Ruth Evelyn (Boyer) Kidd. Thelma, affectionately known as Eileen by her friends and family, grew up in Richmond, VA and attended Hermitage High School. Eileen worked as a receptionist at Staples Distribution Center in Plainfield, CT, and ran her own home cleaning business for many years. She attended the Bible Fellowship Church in N. Grosvenordale. Eileen loved all that life had to offer: travel, food, shopping and, above all, laughter. Eileen is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ronald Savoie, her children Troy and Jamie Pratt of VA, Matthew Roy of NY, Lauren Savoie of N. Grosvenordale, her step-children Ronald Savoie, Jr. of Westerly, Karen Savoie of N. Grosvenordale, Randy Savoie of CA, and many grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the South Woodstock Baptist Church, 23 Roseland Park Road, South Woodstock, CT 06267. Calling Hours will Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT.
