Don had become a true friend and to those of us who knew him he was like a Grandfather or father to us. He had enriched our lives with stories and wisdom and alwasy good advice. I will miss him very much

Donald was our neighbor for nearly fifty years. My Mother lovingly referred to Donald and my Dad as " The Two Frenchmen" she was right they both shared a friendship and understanding that was uncanny. Donald was a kind person and his words " If you need anything just call me." still come to mind. It also seemed very right that Donald was born on the Fourth of July. His love for God and Country never ceased. I joked with him that he was going to be called back in to the service, that "they" needed him. It made him happy..saw him smile after I said that.. and he started getting himself ready to re-enlist. If there was anyone with the drive to do that it was Donald - but feel he simply ran out of time. Donald and Mary Liz were wonderful people and feel blessed to have been able to call them my neighbors for so many years. They are truly missed.

Mom, just wanted you to know that we are all here for you and will help you with whatever you need to get done. Uncle Don had a good, long life but I know it must be so hard to lose him. Thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. We love you very much. Love, Sharon & Mitch
