Obituary of Florence L. Auger

Florence L. Auger, 90, of Danielson died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn, CT. She was born in Putnam, May 16, 1920, daughter of the late Edgar and Lorina (Belanger) Auger, at an early age she moved to Danielson and attended local schools including St. James School. She was a Daycare Worker, babysitting for many local children. Miss Auger was also affiliated with the Dempsey Center in Putnam. She worked in many of the satellite programs for local businesses. In 1991 Florence worked for the Senior Aide Program, sizing clothes for the North East Action Committee in Danielson. She was a Communicant of St. James Church and a member of the Quinebaug Valley Senior Citizens. She leaves family in Connecticut and California and a close friend Dorothy Smith. She was predeceased by a brother Francis G. Auger in 1984. Calling hours Friday, March 11, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, followed by a 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT.
