Obituary of Walter A. Wrobel

Danielson - Walter A. Wrobel, 100, of Airport Road, Danielson, died Tuesday at the Pierce Memorial Baptist Home, Brooklyn. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Lis) Wrobel, she died in 1986. He was born June 22, 1910 in West Warren, MA son of the late Albert and Mary (Libera) Wrobel. Walter made his home in Moosup and Danielson. In 1958 he worked on the construction of the former Anchor Glass in Dayville, and was employed for over 25 years working in the maintenance department and as a tank operator. Walter also worked in the Marriott Stone Quarry, Sterling. He was a talented stone mason. He enjoyed motorcycles. He will be remembered dancing with his beloved wife to the Tennessee Waltz. He leaves his children, Craig Wrobel of Danielson; Gary Wrobel of Dayville; Fred Wrobel of Danielson; Lisa Duchesneau and her husband Bruce of Montville ; his siblings Julien Wrobel of Moosup; Sofie Brodeur of Brooklyn; grandchildren Carrie-Ann Hosp; Shawn Walter Wrobel; Shanna Wrobel; Emily Cyr; Elizabeth Wrobel ; four great granddaughters; a close family friend Denise Dziadula and her family. He was predeceased by his siblings Helen, Mary, Michael, Matthew, Olga and Josie. The Funeral will be Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 9:45 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in ST Joseph Church, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT.
