Obituary of David W. Cuff

Rhode Island - David W. Cuff, 83, of Chepachet, RI, died Tuesday at his home. He was the beloved husband of Eunice (Jones) Cuff; they were married September 4, 1954. He was born June 20, 1927 in Boston, MA, son of the late James W. and Ruth E. (Plant) Cuff. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Until his illness he was an active member of The Church of the Reconciliation in Webster, MA, where he served on the vestry and as a clerk. His Professional Societies included American Association for the Advancement of Science, Optical Society, Sigma Si, Plastics Engineering and he was a life member of the ASME and had published several scientific papers in scientific journals. He had worked at Belding-Corticelli, American Optical and Cumberland Engineering. He leaves in addition to his wife Eunice of 56 years, several cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Betty Ivey of FL; Herschel Jones; Grace Parris; Verna and Eugene Garren; Norma Jean Jones and Lisa; all of Hendersonville, NC. Funeral Services are Monday at 3:00 PM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, calling hours Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston, MA at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
