Elinor was a dear friend of our family. For as long as I can remember she would be part of Christmas and holiday celebrations. At Christmas, she would bring a centerpiece for the table of greens and berries with a jaunty bow. She would play a small organ and we would sing Christmas songs. My memories are many. Elinor was loved and she will be missed as a part of my family.

Since the 1960's when we started attending church on the weekends and summers that we spent in Woodstock ,we have attended the Church of the Good Shepherd and we we accomstomed to seeing Elinor there. She was adept at playing both of the church's organs and was faithful in her devotion to that church. As one who loves music it is appropriate to celebrate Elinor's gifts in that dept. Although we didnt know her of her private gifts her devotion and faithfulness will be greatly missed by all who knew her

Although I did not know Elinor, she has left a wonderful heritage of music at the Church of the Good Shepherd and there are many fond memories of her days as our organist.
May God bless and receive her soul.

Elinor Perrin was a woman of faith, a consumate musician and organist with a beautiful soprano voice. A direct descendant of the first Pastor of the (now known as) The Chuch of the Good Shepherd her life was a direct link to the ancestry of Woodstoct CT. My most recent and powerful memory of Elinor was at the funeral of her dear friend Florence Dodge. Elinor, despite being frail and having trouble with her vision, played several hymns on the organ as well as I had ever heard her play. It was a powerful tribute to a life-long friend. We will miss her.

I have a lifetime of memories that I will forever cherish of our beloved Miss Perrin. Having lived across the street from my family for over 30 years, I spent countless hours with her. She was a wealth of knowledge and never hesitated to teach to anyone willing to listen. I will forever cherish the many walks we took learning about nature, wild flowers and the history of Woodstock. I contribute my love for the outdoors to her, for the endless questions she answered and the hours of conversations. She will forever be a fond memory of a wonderful childhood and I will miss her dearly.
