Lois J. Rice, 77, County Road, East Woodstock died unexpectedly Sunday. She was the wife of the late James Rice; he died January 9, 1988. She was born August 6, 1933 in Putnam, daughter of the late Arthur and Agnes (Bazinet) Tracy. She made her home in Woodstock most of her life served as Town Treasurer for the Town of Woodstock. She leaves a daughter: Patricia Rice of Corpus Christi, TX; a son Michael Rice of Danielson; two brothers: Arthur Tracy and his wife Ruth of Shelton, WA; Douglas Tracy and his wife Peggy of Dayville and Florida; a sister: Mary Kun and her husband Laszlo of Bradford, MA, several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held Friday April 15, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Westfield Cemetery, North Street, Danielson. Arrangements by Smith and Walker Funeral Home. 148 Grove Street, Putnam.
