Margaret "Peg" Turnbull, 83 of Woodstock, CT, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam, CT. She was the wife of Herbert M. Turnbull, Jr., he died in 2007. She was born February 18, 1930, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Hicky) Fallon. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Stanley Shaw at the Cargill Bank in Putnam and for several headmasters at rectory school in Pomfret, she retired from rectory school. She was a graduate of Putnam High School and Bryant College. Peg enjoyed traveling, dining out, reading and the theater. She was a real lady, kind, caring, sweet and gentle. She leaves a brother John Fallon of Wakefield, RI; a niece Alice Regas of Putnam, a great niece Kathleen Campbell and her husband John of Campton, NH, and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Burial will be private in Elmvale Cemetery, Woodstock, CT.
