White, 87, Woodstock Valley, CT, died Tuesday morning July 5, 2011 at the Windham Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Earl R. White, they were married May 8, 1948, he died May 11, 2001. She was born April 25, 1924 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late John and Pauline (Van Sack) Marcincin. She had made her home in Woodstock Valley since 1990, moving from Willimantic where she lived for over 40 years. She was a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Church in Pomfret. She worked as a secretary and a librarian at St. Mary School and St. Joseph School in Willimantic for over 18 years. Shirley was a member of the Woodstock Seniors Citizens for the last 10 years; she was an avid gardener, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. Shirley was dedicated to her family and was strong willed. She leaves her children: Jesse White and his wife Sue of Coventry; Eric White and his wife Kathy of Port St. Lucy, FL; Brian White of Pomfret; April White-Goodier and her husband Tim of Pomfret; Regina Molnar and her husband Dale of Hebron with whom she has made her home with the last 6 months, 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Carleton Marcincin in 1988. A Funeral Mass will be Friday July 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Most Holy Trinity Church, 568 Pomfret Street, Pomfret.
