Obituary of William Herbert Anderson

PUTNAM - William Herbert Anderson Sr., 66, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 from cancer. Husband of the late Sally Lee Anderson. Born December 23, 1944, he was the son of Alvin T. and Zelda Anderson.

Herb, as he was known to family members and friends, worked as a Machine Upkeep Operator at Foster Forbes Glass Co. and was Shop Steward for the Union. He was a father, husband and Superman all in one. He enjoyed travel, family, Mother Nature, sincere people and only asked to be comfortable.

This truly selfless man leaves behind his son, William H. Anderson Jr. of Vaour France, his companion Mary Gibson of Webster; his brother Alvin T. Anderson of N. Carolina; his sisters Marjorie Lydic of Ohio and Catherine Thompson of California. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Sally Lee Anderson.

Calling Hours will be Saturday, July 23 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with a Service at 3:00 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Danielson, CT.
