Gertrude was a woman who was loved and respected by the residents at Seely-Brown Village. She always had a posiitve attitude and had a way of making you feel special. We miss her smile, her laugh and her presence. When George's blessing at the noon meal went long, she'd pat him on the arm and let him know that he was getting a bit long winded. He'd chuckle and the rest of us would laugh along with him. We love you Gertrude!

As a teen on the NY District I fondly remember both Bro. & Sis. Emmitt. True saints. I don't know if Judy remembers me. I was from the Richmond Hill church and now live in and pastor a Nazarene church in Norman, OK. Also, a university here professor at St. Gregory's U. My prayers and sympathies are with all of the family but rejoice that Bro. & Sis Emmitt are re-united in glory. Praise be to our Lord!

My sincerest sympathy to Mrs. Emmitt's family. I was so saddened to hear of her passing and relieved to know that she is now with the Lord and the Love of her life Mr. Emmitt. Mrs. Emmitt was one of the most wonderful ladies I have had the pleasure to help. She has shared so many wonderful things about her life I feel so privileged to have known her. Mrs. Emmitt; she always made a glass half full and willing to share it with you. I will miss her.
