Our condolences to the Oates family during the lost of Mr. Oates. Our prayers are with you and we pray God's comfort upon you all. God is watching over you all and He sees and feels your pain. He is walking with you through this and will carry you as a father carries his hurting child in his arms.

To the Charles Oates ( Charcoal Charlie ) as he liked to be called, I would like to tell you how saddened I feel about his passing. I always enjoyed a good laugh every time I would meet him, he always had a smile and something funny to say no matter what. I remember Charlie hanging out at Bruce`s auto repair shop running errands and such and meeting at Rite Aids drug store, you know where all we old people shop and spend what little money we have on medication so that we can keep on smiling as if there wasn`t anything wrong and people would ask , How are you doing and you lie like Hell and say I am doing just fine, thanks and how are you doing etc. Now back to Charlie I only know Charlie as a great guy and a fun loving person and will be missed by me and his family, some to witch I know and many I don`t know. I know his Daughter Mattie and Matties` children witch I consider great friends of mine. I have missed Charlie, meeting here and there for sometime now because he had to be put into a rest home and I am sure I am not the only one who has missed him and now he has gone with God now and I am quite sure he will be raising Hell even in Heaven and I believe Charlie could and will do that.
With this said I wish to say I am So,so, sorry for your loss to his wife and his entire family, may he Reat In Peace. God Speed!

I always love walking around the old hood seeing Uncle Charlie. He always had some kind of goodie to give to Megan, weather it was a freeze pop or a peppermint. Such a sweet gu, and he will be missed.
