Obituary of Norman E. Schroth
Norman E. Schroth, Sr. 90, of Hillside Terrace, Danielson, CT, passed peacefully, Sunday, October 23, 2011 after a long-term Illness at the Matulaitis Nursing Home.
He was the beloved husband of Joan (Danton) Schroth. He was born October 2, 1912 in Wauregan, CT, son of Emile and Exilia (Poirier) Schroth. Norman was employed at Kaman Aerospace in Moosup for over 28 years, working in Shipping and Receiving. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army, a life member of the VFW Post 10284, Moosup, CT. His family and friends always came first and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He leaves his wife Joan, children Norman Schroth, Jr of NY, Robert Schroth of Killingly, Bernard Schroth of Brooklyn, Roshana Schroth of New London, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would to thank the staff and nurses at Matulaitis Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
