Obituary of Wesley C. Smith, Jr.

Wesley C. Smith, Jr. 83, of Putnam, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at his home. Beloved husband of Shirley (Christensen) Smith, they were married on December 24, 1948. He was born in Framingham, MA, on January 10, 1928, son of the late Wesley C. Sr. and Selina (Henry) Smith. Wesley was a Truck Driver and a member of the Teamsters Local 559. He was a devoted Jehovah Witness. Besides his wife Shirley he is survived by his son Joe L. Smith and his wife Carol of Putnam, his daughter Andrea Smith of Stafford Springs, a brother Raymond Smith of Massachusetts, a sister Whitney Tiff of Washington State, niece and nephew, Patty and Randy Austin, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his son Mark Smith and his infant son Ross Smith. A Memorial service will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 11 Hill Road, Thompson, CT, 06277.
