Obituary of Edward P. LaPointe, Jr.

Edward P. LaPointe, Jr., 65, of Danielson, CT, passed away July 7, 2013 at Regency Heights of Danielson. He was born September 9, 1947 in Putnam and lived most of his life in Putnam. Son of the late Edward LaPointe and Rose (Defilippo) Beaudry. He leaves behind his wife Ruth of Brooklyn, CT, daughter Robin Toce and her husband Mark of Wethersfield, CT, sons Craig LaPointe and his wife Lynne of Worcester, MA, Edward P. LaPointe, III and his wife Jen of Dudley, MA, David Doucette and his girlfriend Heather Catron of Spencer, MA. He also leaves behind a sister, Betty Joyal of Thompson and a brother Richard LaPointe of Danielson, eight grandchildren, three great -grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond LaPointe. Ed worked for 20 years for the State of Connecticut as a CNA, Certified Nursing Assistant. He loved life, fishing and was an avid gardener and cook when he was well. He loved to sing along to his favorite songs. He will be missed by all. A Graveside service will be Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Grove Street Cemetery, Grove Street, Putnam. Calling Hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam.
