Obituary of Marion Jaffre

Marion C. Jaffre, 91, of Lake Road, Dayville, died Friday February 17, 2012 at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn. Wife of the late Henry Jaffre, he died in 1987. She was born April 16, 1920 in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Heinz) Bryant. She worked for over thirty years as a lens setter at the former American Optical in Putnam and Southbridge. She made her home most of her life in Dayville, a member of the South Killingly Congregational Church, and an avid Red Sox Fan. She leaves her daughter Jean Jaffre of Dayville; a sister Bernice Downs of Andover, MA; a granddaughter Jessica Cook of Burnsville, WV. She was predeceased by her son David Jaffre. A Graveside Service will be Wednesday February 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam, CT. There are no calling hours.
