I just got the info on Wayne. I served with Wayne in the old 162nd TARS Shop. To say wayne was an interesting personality barely covers our time together. I have such fond memories of the many "discussions" we had. The last I saw him was at the NCO Dining In and I was truly shocked to see him decked out in dress blues he had bought for the occasion. Life really takes some funny turns.
My deep condolences to his large family. I will always remember our time together in the nicest way.

At church Wayne always limited children to 2 doughnuts; I always managed to get 3.
while visiting his(EBA) hospitality stand,we enjoyed great conversations regarding his strong faith and his christian life.
I loved Wayne and his extended family. He will be dearly missed.

A decent man that kept all of us motivated to do well in A & P school. He keep us entertained with his stories and gave us advice on how to do well in life. He was always a stickler when it came to sheetmetal project, but that made us better. R.I.P. God bless you.

One thing I loved so much about Wayne was he always had that look in his eyes that he knew something you didn't, but would never dare tell you as to put you down or make you feel bad about yourself. Wayne is a special man and someday I only hope people will remember me like they have him. Wayne, im not sure when but I will see you again :)

To the Vinal family, I send my deepest sympathies. I wish I could take your pain away. It is never easy to say goodbye to our loved ones. But knowing our goodbyes are only temporary because we will see our loved ones again in a much more pleasant place.
My memories of Mr.Vinal were when there were family celebrations with the Vinal’s, Healy’s, and the Ng’s. Those were happy occasions filled with love and joy not to mention the tons of siblings that came from near and far away places. I remember watching the elders of our families with smiles so wide, because they had their children, grand children, and great grand children all together in one place.
My thoughts, prayers, and hugs are with you today and always. May God bless you all.
Love,
Laurette

God blessed me the day I met Effie and Wayne, my youth leaders. That was 43 years ago. One of my favorite stories Wayne told was about a man he used to work with. This man didn't care to hear about God, and he told Wayne so. One day this same man was flying a helicopter in sight of Wayne, and he lost control. As the helicopter went into a tailspin Wayne dropped down to his knees and prayed. The helicopter righted itself, landing safely. The man who didn't want to hear about God stepped out of his craft and thanked Wayne. Wayne pointed to the sky and simply said "Thank Him"! What a life lesson!
Wayne used to tell us to have faith as big as a mustard seed. He had the faith of an avacado seed!
Thank you, Wayne!
My thoughts are with the many family members, especially my dear friend and boss, Effie. I know you all are celebrating this great man's life and his entry into the Kingdom!

I have so many memories of Wayne and the whole Vinal family, I grew up with this family, from the time I was very little, they treated me always like part of their family, and spent many many weekends there having sleepovers. Wayne will be truly missed by all, and I am very sad by this loss, but know he is happy and painfree by Jesus side!

It was always fun to sit down with Wayne and reminisce about Maine. Coming from the same school, towns and knowing some of the same folks just made us feel close. He's been a good father-in-law to our son and the Lord blessed us with a wonderful Christian daughter-in-law thanks to her parents' upbringing. Wayne, "a good and faithful servant' of Christ. Nothing better good be said of someone and knowing Wayne, it was the legacy for which he strived.

Whenever I think of people who have made an impact on my life Wayne and Effie have always been at the top of my list. Wayne was a true example of what it means to live a life in the Lord and for the Lord. I know he has touched many people in his lifetime and left behind many memories of his love, kindness, and compassion. I consider him one of my best friends and will miss him very much and remember him always. “When someone you love becomes a memory; that memory becomes a treasure” and he was, is, and always be! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Trish Grist
