Obituary of Barbara R. Doerr

Barbara R. Doerr, 69, of Dayville, CT went home to the Lord from her home on May 27, 2012. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Robert I. Doerr; they were married on March 12, 1978. She was born November 29, 1942 in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late Ivan and the late Ruth (Ashburn) Dillman. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother. She graduated from Altoona High School in PA. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church Dayville. She enjoyed antiques, history and craft work. She was an avid reader and animal lover. Barbara was deeply religious and was a breast cancer survivor. She leaves behind a daughter: Jennifer Doerr-Hicks of Dayville, her granddaughter: Tiffany Hicks of Dayville, her brother-in-law: David Doerr and his wife Anne of Loganton, PA; her sister-in-law Diane Vogt and her husband William of Lenox, MA; her cousin Janeth Carlheim and her husband Gene of Altoona, PA; her Cousin Jim Shay of Altoona, PA. She was predeceased by her son Gregory DeBenedictis in 2005 and a brother Donald Dillman in 1995. There will be a memorial service in August, date will be announced.
