Obituary of Roland E. Basley

Roland E. Basley, 51, of Putnam, CT, died unexpectedly May 31, 2012 at home. Roland was a truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed playing his guitar and being a DJ. Roland also did volunteer work at the local senior center to entertain the residents that lived there. Roland is survived by his four siblings; Leonard G. Basley and his wife Cathy of Moosup, CT; Clarissa (Basley) Cleveland and her husband Randy of Florida; Raymond Basley and his wife Deana of Lebanon, CT and Mae Basley-Dees and her husband Jamie of Mississippi. Roland was predeceased by his mother Clarissa (Bullard) Basley in 2004 and his father Leonard H. Basley in 2006. Roland leaves behind his long time partner Pamela Carpenter of Putnam, three children; Nicole of Vermont; Jennifer and Samantha Basley of Putnam; two grandchildren, many friends and relatives.
