My sympathy and condolences to the family.Mel was like my second Mom, having known her since the tender age of five when we were neighbors.Me and her daughter,Tobie, had grown to best friends. She had a nurturing, loving heart and I will never forget all the warm memories I have of her and the times I had spent at her home while growing up.She will be missed dearly.

I will always remember how "kind of heart" Melanie was. She seemed to have so much strength to forge forward no matter the obstacle. I think it was her love of family that gave her strength. I will always keep her memory in my heart. As Emily Dickenson once wrote: Faith -
You will not see me, so you must have faith. I wait for the time when we can soar
together again, both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to its fullest and when
you need me, just whisper my name in your heart, ...I will be there. God Bless you Melanie!!!

My Cousin Melanie always reached out to anyone who needed her help. I remember babysitting for her daughter(My 2nd Cousin)Tobie when I was just 14 yrs old. Melanie was a dedicated Mother and did what ever she had to do to keep her family provided for, even if it meant longer work hours. I looked up to her. I remember saying to myself that I hoped to be as good a person as she was. She had a big heart!!!We are all blessed to have shared a part of her company in our lives and we will always think of her with a warm heart and a smile.
