Obituary of Kristin S. Reynolds

Kristin S. Reynolds May 16, 1940 – January 3, 2015 Woodstock – Kristin Serafin Reynolds of Woodstock, CT passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on Saturday, January 3rd, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New London, CT, May 16, 1940, daughter of the late William and Esther (Olson) Serafin. In 1959, Kris met the love of her life, Joe, and they married on October 28, 1961. After teaching first grade for several years, The Christmas Barn was opened in 1965. Kris has had many life-long friends. Besides her husband, she leaves her two sons, Jay and Mark, both of Woodstock. Her grandchildren were always a source of pride and love. She will be greatly missed by Kyle, Jotham, Morgan, and Hannah. Kris also leaves her sister Dorothy Taylor of Quinebaug, CT and was predeceased by her sister Sally Larzelere of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by her nieces Kristine DeMello of North Stonington, CT and Susan Krysinski of Thompson, CT. A celebration of Kris’s life will be held on Thursday, January 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the East Woodstock Congregational Church. www.smithandwalkerfh.com
