Obituary of William "Mike" M. Johnson

William M. Johnson “Mike”, 68, of North Grosvenordale, CT, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home. Husband of the late Shannon Johnson, she died in 1994. He was born in Putnam on February 28, 1946 son of Anne (Goloskie) Johnson of Putnam and the late Donald Harry Johnson. He worked for Woodstock Line for 10 years and Kaman Aerospace for 20 years. Mike was a former member of the American Legion in North Grosvenordale. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. He leaves his mother Anne, a son Don Johnson and his wife Hope of Quinebaug, stepchildren, Dan Whitehead of ME, Michael Whitehead of NJ, Jeffrey Whitehead of Germany, brother, Ray Johnson and his wife Pat of Putnam, two granddaughters and 10 step grandchildren. Services are private. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Legion, North Grosvenordale, CT. Smith and Walker Funeral, 148 Grove Street, Putnam is in charge of arrangements.
