Mary, my condolences. I know Peter is in a better place with no sickness and pain. I've known Peter for many years and I will miss him. He visited me a short time ago, and we wished each other good luck and goodbye.

Pete was a welcoming friend to a stranger 50-odd years ago. We shared a love of mysteries and I can remember taking him through the Quebecois references in Louise Penny's books at the last W.A. reunion. Remember catching up after 40 years as he and Bill roasted a pig. Can only hope that death was a relief from suffering and there is someting better waiting for a good man.
