Obituary of Elizabeth "Betsy" Lee Walton

Elizabeth "Betsy" Lee Walton, 88, of Woodstock passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, CT. Wife of the late Samuel Walton, Jr. She was born November 12, 1926 in Rochester, NY daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Rowland) Lee. She was active for many years with the Woodstock Volunteer Fire Association as an EMT and as a Nurse at Day Kimball Hospital. Betsy enjoyed performing with Killingly Community Theater, appearing in a number of plays and musicals. She was a long time member of the First Congregational Church of Woodstock singing in the choir and serving the Church in many other capacities. She is survived by Stephanie Bayne (Bruce) of Hampton, CT; Cindy Walsh (Tim) of Tolland, CT; three grandchildren Michael Walsh, Katie Walsh and Christopher Bayne; one great granddaughter Brenna Bayne. Besides her husband Samuel, Betsy was predeceased by her son Tony Walton and two brothers. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
