Obituary of Donna LaParle Page
Donna LaParle Page, 72. of Woodstock, died Wednesday at her home. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Page, he died in 2004. She was born in Putnam, August 30, 1943, daughter of Richard and Arlene (Nettleton) Howard. Donna had made her home in Putnam and Thompson. She had worked as a secretary for over thirteen years at the former Deary Brothers Dairy in Putnam, and also City Beverage in Putnam and Danielson. She was last employed for an Investment Firm in Dayville.
She was a member of the Putnam VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was a fan of the New England Patriots and an avid UCONN Girls Basketball fan. Donna enjoyed Candle Pin Bowling and was involved in League Bowling in Webster for ten years. Donna was a loving mother and grandmother.
She leaves her daughter Denise Earle and her husband Randy of Woodstock, with whom she has made her home; her son Deane LaParle of Thompson; her grandchildren Harley LaParle; Deanna LaParle; Dayna Earle and Kelsea Sherrick.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Home Health and Hospice of Northeast Connecticut, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT.
