Obituary of Elaine Savoie-Ignasiak

Clearwater, FL-Elaine (Auger) Savoie-Ignasiak, 70, formerly of Montville, CT died Friday, November 12, 2015 at Madonna Ptak Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center in Largo, FL. Beloved wife of Francis Ignasiak. Daughter of the late Lionel and Rita (Tetreault) Auger, she was born October 5, 1945 in Putnam, CT. She was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson, CT and St Catherines of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater, FL. Elaine worked for Stevens Linen, American Optical, Restaurant Owner and a Correctional Professional for 20 years. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She loved SHOPPING, crafts, crocheting, reading and vacationing especially on cruises. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and she took pride in helping others. She leaves her husband Francis, three children Laurie DesLauriers and her husband Arthur of Moosup, CT, Robert Zamaites of Putnam, CT, Richard Savoie of Norwich, CT, step children, Scott Savoie,Tracy Savoie, Shelly Desjardin, Cindy Agnello, brother, Arnold Auger, sister, Dorothy Shippee, step brothers, Robert, Gary and Michael Guertin, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a husband Richard L. Savoie, siblings, Leonel Auger, Pauline Curan, Barbara Fortin, step brother Paul Guertin. Funeral will be Friday, November 20, 2015 at 9:30 AM from Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Burial at a later date. Calling hours will be Thursday 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral Home.
