Stunned to see Dave's obituary notice today in the May/June issue of the Brown Alumni Monthly. We were roommates for four years. My deepest sympathy to the family. So sorry I am this late with a response.
While we did not keep in touch over the years, I will never forget our time together. It was Dave who would often sarcasticly remind us in times of stress that we were living out our "golden days of youth". He also got me interested in the world of motor sports which I have followed as a fan ever since. I plead guilty as one who aided and abetted his interest in contract bridge.
I have included my email address. Please let me know if I can add anything to your memories of Dave.

Please be comforted in knowing that God is sensitive to the difficulty you are facing at this time. In his great love, he has promised through many verses in the Bible that we will see our loved ones again. The thrilling resurrection of Lazarus that Jesus performed gives us faith and confidence in a grander resurrection to come, when those resurrected with never have to die again (John 11:25-26). That promise is also expressed at Revelation 21:3-5, where it says that death will be no more. We look forward to be reunited with our loved ones and experience the fullness of John 3:16, which gives the hope of eternal life for humans. These are the comforting and truthful promises we would expect from a God who loves us.
May this message and the fond memories of David bring you solace.

Susan and I were saddened to have learned the news of our neighbor David's passing. We have missed seeing him walking down our road here in Woodstock. He always had a friendly wave and a smile - a genuinely good fellow. Hard news indeed.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Although I now live in Myrtle Beach S.C., I do keep an eye on the local papers. May David rest in peace.

Dave has been so kind to me and such a good friend to our family. His incredible memory for details and historical knowledge was an astounding gift. Very sad that the world has lost this great man. Peace and blessings to Alice and the rest of Dave's family during this very tough time.

Thank you for always being kind to one of the "little kids". You are missed David.
