Obituary of Joseph G. Messier

Joseph G. Messier, 52, of Putnam, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in Putnam. He was born on March 27, 1963 in Putnam, son of Gerard and Barbara (Heath) Messier, Sr. He spent the last several years taking care of his parents. He worked for Sanitary Dash in North Grosvenordale for many years until their closing. Joseph loved to draw and made handmade cards for family members every year. He also loved to watch Wrestling. He leaves his mother and father Gerard and Barbara Messier, Sr., sisters Valerie Schrump and her husband Donald of Putnam, Elizabeth Messier of Putnam, Cheryl Piligian and her husband Robert of Dayville, a brother Gerard Messier, Jr. and his wife Tammy Jean of Putnam, a best friend of many years Heidi Champagne, nieces and nephews Catherine Hebert and her husband Bert of Dayville, Heather Charron and her husband Michael of Putnam, Timothy Carlson of Putnam, Justin Mayo and his wife Angela of Dayville, Jared Carlson and his wife Sarah of Thompson, Thomas Fletcher and his wife Amber of Putnam and several great nieces and nephews. A Graveside service was held Saturday, October 3, 2015 in South Cemetery in Brooklyn, CT.
