Obituary of Hester Cora Chase Morin

Hester Cora Chase Morin, 99, of Danielson, formerly of Putnam, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. Born September 4, 1916 in Worcester, MA, daughter of Sherman C. and Blanche (Newell) Cummings. She was the wife of Benjamin W. Chase, he died December 1945, and Elsid Morin, he died September 1989. Hester made her home in Putnam most of her life, a member of the Putnam Baptist Church. She worked as a Sales Clerk for Grants and Bugbee Department Stores in Putnam. She leaves her children, Christina Mollica of Dorchester, MA, Benjamin Chase and his wife Bunny of Putnam, William Chase and his wife Hedi of Bristol, NH, Mark Chase and his wife Joyce of Madison, NC, step-daughter Lucille Burton of Vancouver, WA, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her step-daughter Dorothy Tercjak, her siblings, Winona, Archie and Howard, her three grandchildren Colleen, Clayton and Craig. Calling Hours will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT followed by a 12:00 Noon Funeral Service at the Funeral Home.
