Obituary of William J. Chapman

William J. Chapman, 80, of Danielson, CT passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2017 at his home. He was born February 2, 1937 in Johnston, RI. Son of the late Robert and Jessica (Tacey) Chapman. He married the love of his life Carol A. Ladd on April 8, 1958 at the Westfield Congregational Church in Danielson, they were married for 59 years. Bill was proud of his service with the United States Army from 1957 to 1963.
Bill worked for Autocrat in RI and then for 29 years at Anchor Glass Container retiring as supervisor. In retirement he worked as a jack of all trades for the Antonino Dealership in Colchester, CT. He loved doing crossword puzzles.
He leaves his wife Carol A. Chapman, his daughters Barbara (David) Gagnon and Lynne Dooley. His grandchildren Ben, Meredith, Dan, Chelsea, Jacob, Tommy, Justin and Molly. His brother Albert Chapman and sister Betty Stress. Also several nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by a daughter Lori Chapman and his brothers Robert Chapman and Charles Chapman.
