My condolences to Doris' family. She had a big impact on my life growing up, being a member of the "Woodstock Woolies". She would pick me up in her lite blue VW bug. Good memories.

Doris was my 4-H leader in the 1950s and 1960s. One of the things I remember about our choosing officers for the club was that she wanted differerent people to have turns serving. I remember Doris's mother and the tea punch (I think) that she made. I remember at least one trip to go skiing with Doris and a couple of other people. Looking back, I can see that she really liked working with children as well as animals. She was one of the adults who was a really positive influence in my life as I grew up.
To Doris's family, I send my sympathy on your loss.

So many fond memories of Doris. As a member of the Woolies she taught me so much about raising and showing sheep. Trips to UConn in her VW for shows and sales. Grand Champion ribbons at the Woodstock Fair. My years working at Fairholm Farm, around George, Celia, Barbara and Doris were all part of a great education for a teenage boy. Very special memories for me. Oh, my first car was a VW,,,thanks Doris.

Sad news about a very dear old friend. Amongst other things Doris was our "gateway" to Woodstock and Muddy Brook Farm. We will miss her greatly.
