Mr. Jones taught my Junior and Senior mathematics classes at Windham High 1963/64. He was a teacher, mentor, inspiration, and coach.
He was my cross country coach for all four years at Windham. I was never destined for speed but rather perseverance.... And he never discouraged my efforts.
We spent many before school hours doing and designing cross number puzzles; it developed within me a lifelong love of math and it's intricacies.
Some mornings I'd come in early to play recorder duets with him in the third floor classroom.
He is always with me when I puzzle about math or use the skills I learned and hopefully pass on to others in his gentle caring kind way.
I am truly blessed to have known him.
