Janniece Deveau Zinsky, 52, of Putnam, CT, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 30, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 4, 1961, daughter of the late Robert Norman Deveau, “Coach” and Jean Golas Carrano. While attending Masuk High School in Monroe, CT she met and eventually married her husband of 30 years, love of her life, Luke J. Zinsky Jr. A dedicated wife and loving mother, she is survived by her four children Luke J. Zinsky III, Eve M. Zinsky, Hannah L. Zinsky, and Ethan A. Zinsky as well as her late sister Lynn Stokes, her two brothers Robert Deveau Jr, Chris Carrano and her sister Lori Deveau. Janniece graduated from Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY and taught at St. Mary’s School in Bridgeport, CT. Her greatest joy in life was being around and caring for her family and others. She enjoyed being by the ocean, cooking, and her several morning coffees. An accomplished seamstress and amazing cook, Janniece was a woman of many talents. She will be desperately missed as our loss is heaven’s gain. Calling hours will be Monday, February 3, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT.
