Obituary of Margaret E. Ouillette

Brooklyn - Margaret Ouillette, 84, of Christian Hill Rd., Brooklyn, CT passed away at Pierce Baptist Home on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Margaret was born May 19, 1929 to Cora (Morin) and Ernest Bachand of Jewett City, CT. She graduated from Griswold High School in 1947. In May, 1949, she married Armand Ouillette of Brooklyn. He survives her. Margaret was a long term member of Sacred Heart Church of Wauregan.

Margaret enjoyed her large family. Her favorite role was as a grandmother and great-grandmother to her 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She particularly enjoyed having four sets of twins in the family because there was always a baby to hold. Margaret was also an amazing cook and loved large family gatherings.

In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by two sons: Lawrence Ouillette of North Grosvenordale and Francis Ouillette of Brooklyn, two daughters: Lois Platt of Florence, Arizona and Joy Agger of Jacksonville, Florida; she was predeceased by a son, John Ouillette and a grandson, Abram Ouillette. Her grandchildren include Nathan Platt, Jennifer (Platt) Gehrke and Hope (Platt) Bickmeier, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Becky (Platt) Denslow of Washington, New Hampshire, Major (USAF) Seth Platt of Abilene, Texas, Nancy (Ouillette) Scott of Warren, Pennsylvania, and Renee and Katrina Agger of Jacksonville, Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will ne April 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street Danielson,CT. Burial will be private. Share a memory with her family, at www.gagnonandcostellofh.com
