Obituary of Beatrice A Caron

Beatrice (Benoit) Caron, 89, of Danielson, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. Beatrice was born March 23, 1924 in Putnam, daughter of the late Ovila and Zama (LeClair) Benoit. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Raymond Caron and her sister Rena Davieau. Beatrice worked many years in the Killingly High School Cafeteria until she retired in 1986. She was a communicant of St. James Church. Beatrice liked to sing, play bingo, and visit with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for making people laugh. She is survived by her two children, Fr. Donald Caron and his wife Melanie of Keyport, NJ; Linda Newcomb and her husband Thomas of Danielson, her grandson Tom Newcomb and his wife Amanda of Warwick, RI, her great-granddaughter Lillian, her nephew Adelard Caron and his wife Lynn of Brooklyn and her cousin Arlene Tetreault of Putnam. The Funeral will be Monday, February 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Calling Hours will be Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. In lieu of flowers donations in Bea's memory may be made to St. James School, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT 06239.
