Mary Jane LaRose

Obituary of Mary Jane LaRose

Mary Jane (Blevins) LaRose, of Danielson. On March 8, 2014, accompanied by her Higher Power, Mary Jane LaRose left this earth for a better place. She was born November 30, 1974 the daughter of Olive Chenail Blevins and the late Michael J. Blevins.

Mary's grade school teachers remember her as chatty, headstrong, and impulsive - the girl who ran with scissors. In High School, she was the percussion section leader of the Killingly Big Red Marching Band and continued marching to the beat of her own drum throughout her life. She earned certificates in medical transcription and coding from Quinebaug Valley Community College. Mary was last employed at BST Systems in Plainfield. She was a vulnerable combination of a giving spirit, a soft heart and an overly trusting nature which often made Mary her own worst enemy in her quest to find a true friend. She was a fan of stock car racing, billiards, the New England Patriots and Pink Floyd.

Mary is survived by her beautiful daughter, Nicole LaRose; her mother; her brother James Blevins, Her former husband Ernie Larose and his daughters Andrea and Kathryn; her devoted uncle Douglas Blevins; her aunts, Sheila Butters, Kathleen Bishop and Martine Kublbeck and numerous cousins. Happy Trails To You, Mary.

In lieu of Flowers, Mary wished to benefit injured firefighters by donations to Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, Attn: Stephen M. Jakab, 267 Grant St. Bridgeport, CT 06610.
