Stasia Mary (Krawiec) Dudek, 86, of Putnam died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in Rhode Island. Beloved wife of the late Walter Dudek, Sr., he died in 1980. She was born January 15, 1928 in Thompson, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Gwizdala) Krawiec. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Polish Church in Webster. Stasia was in the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW and the American Legion in N. Grosvenordale. She worked for Hales Manufacturing as a Spinner for over 25 years. She always enjoyed her yard work and her Sunday bingo. She leaves her daughter Leona Hendrickson and her husband Gene of Woodstock, daughter-in-law Diane Dudek of N. Grosvenordale a daughter Patricia Chrabazcz and her husband Edward of Putnam, a son Richard Ballard of Brooklyn, grandchildren Jennifer Dudek, Aaron Archambault, Joseph Archambault, Edward Chrabazcz, Jr., James Chrabazcz, David Chrabazcz, Heidi Ballard, David Ballard, several great grandchildren, siblings Mary Sergel of Dudley, MA, Peter Krawiec of Tompson. She was predeceased by her son Walter Dudek, Jr., siblings John Krawiec, Stanley Krawiec, Joseph Krawiec, Thomas Krawiec, Michael Krawiec, Anthony Krawiec, Sophie Groszswicz, Nellie Pfeiffer and a special companion Theodore Billings. Funeral will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Calling hours from 10:00 to 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Dudley, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, PO Box 747, Woodstock, CT 06281.
