RJ and I first met in Oct, l979,when I was assigned to the 298th Band in Berlin. I can truthfully say that he was an outstanding NCO, a superb musician and great personality. He will be missed.

This is a sad day for me as I have lost a friend. We served in Berlin together and remained friends in civilian life. What a great guy he was. You can all be very proud to know that he was highly regarded and will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless.

I remember Bob coming to the 298th Army Band in Berlin when I was the commander. He was full of enthusiasm and always ready to let us know he was from "Philly". A fine musician and a friend. We spoke at times after our retirements. I shall miss him. My thoughts are with the family.
